We may not have all the best equipment like we used to, because of the Joplin tornado, but we still have cameras, voice recorders, and video recorders! We can work our way back up to where we used to be. We just recently visited Peace Church Cemetery. This is a place that almost everybody in Joplin talks about. We've heard countless stories about shadow men, some kind of witch that chases you out (we were obviously not chased out by a witch) voice from the dead, red glowing orbs and eyes, and figures watching you in the distance. People say that black magic is performed in the woods behind the cemetery, maybe even sometimes inside the cemetery grounds. Everybody has heard about the infamous Billy Cook, a cold-blooded murderer from Joplin who was buried in an unmarked grave in the family plot at Peace Church. We are still examining some of the photos, because we may have seen some of the red lights that people report. We were able to debunk the claim of red eyes being seen in the woods behind the cemetery. We found that there is a radio tower behind the woods a little way away, and a small pond right behind the cemetery. If you are in the right place, you'll see a reflection of the radio tower's red lights in the water, which do look like red eyes if you are walking by, not really paying much attention. It definitely got us for a second as we were walking through the cemetery, but we quickly saw the radio tower, and noticed the water. The feeling of being watched, wow. This is very prevalent. The entire time we were in the cemetery, Holly and I felt completely targeted by something, being watched and followed, and we have the pics to prove it. The feeling you get inside the grounds of the cemetery is the strangest feeling you will ever get, I can't even describe it. It's creepy and exciting at the same time. If you haven't visited this cemetery, you should definitely make a trip down there, especially if you're from the Joplin area. While we were in there, we caught a mist that kept appearing, and an apparition manifesting himself in mist form. It was absolutely amazing. Check out the pics in the photo evidence. We also caught a couple great EVPs. I will find a way to post them on the website. I was also pushed by something unseen while an investigator from another team was announcing his sexual orientation to the spirits in order to get a rise out of them. His theory was that if he said he was gay, it would anger the spirits, seeing as how everyone that is buried in the cemetery lived in died in the 18-1900's. It was a fair idea, and we definitely got a rise! I hope to go back very soon with my team :)
